The tube consists of strong, rigid, paper telescopic tubes with closed ends. Their 5/8" inside diameter is wide enough to hold your needles and your knitted project.

The Yarn Meter Plus was developed and introduced in June 2006. In incorporates an integrated tensioner design with the Yarn Meter.

The user can now apply varying levels of tension to their yarn when using the meter and help to ensure an accurate reading across the meter head.

The user simply weaves their yarn through the tensioner section before inserting it into the meter (the yarn must be tensioned BEFORE the meter, never after).

The Yarn Meter Plus also provides the user with a fully functional tensioner also. This can be used without the yarn meter. When using a swift and a ball winder, simply guide the yarn through the tensioner, weave it around whatever number of dowels that you desire to add the appropriate level of tension, and then attach to your ball winder. Often times, it allow s you to do "hands free" ballwinding

Note: a Ball Winder is REQUIRED for proper use of this device

Telescopic Double Pointed Needle Cases.
Strong paper, telescopic tube with closed ends. Its diameter is wide enough to hold 5 6mm (US 10) needles (or many more smaller needles or 2 to 4 larger needles).

The Tubes can extend to hold 25cm long needles (10"). It also shortens to a total length of 6-1/2". They have inside diameters of 5/8" and outside diameters of approx. 3/4".

Once again, Nancy's Knit Knacks has been able to analyze a "problem" affecting fiber artists and we have been able to develop a market leading solution.

The WPI tool is made from birch hardwood which has an oil finish applied.

Measures 5" in length & 5/16" diameter (Yarn Guilde knot measures 5/8").

All markings are laser etched into the wood and will not wear off.

There are markings for up to 3 inches which allows you to calculated a more accurate average WPI on certain hairy yarns. There are also 1/2 inch marks.

A special yarn guide knob is used to hold your yarn in place while measureing the WPI.

A special WPI Knit-Kard comes bundled with the tool in a ziplock bag.

The Kard tells the user how to use the tool and provides a useful WPI chart for 6 different weights of yarn.

This great knitting bag is made from a medium weight (6 - 7 ounce) twill fabric which is a tightly woven but flexible fabric. Best of all, it comes in a variety of contrasting color combinations and solid colors.

Our Hip Knit Sack is a bandolier style bag which is worn over your shoulder and across your chest. The Sack section is positioned on your hip (hence "one" of the reasons for the name).

On the bandolier portion, a small pouch with a Velcro style strip is designed to hold your iPod (or other MP3 player) or cell phone. This makes it convenient for your earphones to extend up to your ears WITHOUT interfering with your knitting.

The Sack portion is similar to our Knit Knack Sacks in terms of overall size, It does not contain the internal pockets and needle holders that our Knit Knack Sack II does, however. An elasticized band and a closure snap keep your knitting contained in this section of the Sack.

Nancys Learn to Spin Kit:

Is made from birch hardwood components which have an oil finish applied

Measures 11" in length (3/8" diameter) with a 2.75" diameter top whorl.

The whorl has 2 notches (one on each side opposite of the hook)
The hook is made from a custom designed wire which will not bend or twist. Its special shape helps ensure that the spindle will spin properly. 
The total weight is approximately 45 grams which is within the ideal weight range for a beginning spinner (not too light or too heavy)

The fiber is made by Ashland Bay Trading Company of the USA. It is their multi-colored Colonial fiber which is an ideal fiber for beginners.

The 32 minute DVD video will play in any DVD player. It was produced by Nancy's Knit Knacks especially for this kit. It features Nancy Shroyer as the instructor who leads the student through a complete training session on how to spin using a drop spindle.
